The scaffolders had arrived this morning before us. They worked all day in the rain to erect the scaffolding - they still need to return tomorrow to complete the bit by the side of the house.
We started to take the paint from the doors and banister today - it is almost criminal the damage that people did to houses in the seventies covering up original features!
Looks like our builder can't make it tomorrow so it will be Thursday before we start to strip the roof.
